Now in their 20th year, the CJ Excellence Awards recognize Advertisers, Publishers and Agencies for their achievements in affiliate marketing. The winners were recognized on Wednesday, September 11th at an awards ceremony as part of the annual CJU (CJ University) conference, which took place at Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort, located in Santa Barbara, CA.
Advertiser of the Year: NordVPN

Wikibuy from Capital One helps customers save money when shopping online via finding lower prices, coupons, and loyalty rewards. Advertisers that work with Wikibuy drive incremental business and new customer acquisition through targeted promotions on Wikibuy's website, app, and notifications. Last November, Wikibuy was acquired by Capital One.
Agency of the Year: OPM Pros
Having just celebrated 10 years of agency life, OPM Pros is now a two-time CJU Agency of the Year award winner and four-time Finalist. Now part of the Gen3 Marketing group, they collectively have over 120 in-house team members managing more than 250 major brands with 3 offices in the U.S & Canada. Year in and year out, the Pros continue to create exceptional results-driven value for their partners through the power of relationships, strategy, and innovation.
Best Use of Data: TripAdvisor
Through slice testing, TripAdvisor found that creating dedicated on-site messaging and call to actions for cash back users, they were able to drive a 10% increase in sales with a corresponding 27% increase in commissionable revenue while ensuring a better user experience leading to fewer order inquiries. Based on this successful test, they’ve since rolled out a global version to all their Loyalty Publishers and continue to iterate and optimize on the original test concept.

Best Content Strategy: TurboTax
By evolving its affiliate strategy to leverage the personality and power of Influencers, TurboTax clearly conveyed its top marketing messages of the season to tax customers with very specific needs. By all accounts, the campaign surpassed its goals and TurboTax reached customers in new formats, leveraging the fresh and creative voices of Influencers.

Best Recruitment & Activation Strategy: GoPro
GoPro is a leader in the action camera industry. They have been in the CJ network for a little over a year and are seeing continuous growth because of their work to develop and maintain Publisher relationships. By applying a mix of CJ data tools, offers and promotions, commission rate testing, and technology, GoPro was able to grow their Publisher base, expand their international presence, and exceed revenue expectations.

Best Cross Channel Strategy: L’Occitane
The CJ team worked closely with L’Occitane and their Strategic Partner to bring in a completely new line of business via the affiliate channel. This initiative generated a 65% new to file rate while simultaneously driving revenue growth and brand awareness.
High Commendation: USAA
Traditionally, Advertisers at affiliate networks build ‘walls’ to separate themselves from other Advertisers – especially those who might be competing for the same customers. In this innovative collaboration, two Advertisers – Hotels.com and IHG – worked together with TopCashback, using CJ’s cutting-edge Situational Commissioning technology to create a campaign that delivered unprecedented value to customers, and delivered a 50% increase in revenue for IHG properties on Hotels.com and exceeding targets by 490%!

The Global Excellence Award (Publisher): Honey
By working closely with CJ account teams across the world - in London, Paris, Munich and the US, Honey was able to expand their global footprint for shoppers and Advertisers. Leveraging and building upon partnerships in geographies outside of the US, Honey grew the number of shoppers on international CJ stores by over 300% year over year, resulting in an increase in sales revenue for those stores by over 150%. Their global reach allows brands to engage and convert shoppers all over the world.

HBX is the leading online destination for streetwear and contemporary brands and is also a data-driven company. HBX uses CJ technologies and data to expand their global presence and to drive revenue. They also continue to grow the channel by actively recruiting global top potential Publishers within the CJ network and develop close relationship with the Publishers.
