DATE: 9/2/09  Maryland Senator Richard S. Madaleno Jr. recently announced plans to reintroduce an "Affiliate Tax" bill in the 2010 legislative session which begins in January. A previous "Affiliate Tax" bill was introduced last April but failed to pass the legislature. Show your opposition to this proposed legislature by emailing Senator Madaleno at richard.madaleno@senate.state.md.us.

DATE: 4/13/09  The bill did not make it out of committee and the Legislature adjourned for the year on April 13, 2009. Nothing further to report.

DATE: 4/6/09  Commission Junction recently received word that Maryland's version of the "Affiliate Tax" bill was introduced without warning only days ago, and it may be enacted later today or early Tuesday.
