
We are thrilled to introduce our keynote speaker, Dr. Jeffrey F. Rayport, Ph.D.
Jeffrey coined the term “viral marketing” and brings an incredible knowledge of the online commerce space. He advises businesses in rethinking how they interact with their customers. His keynote will focus on how the networked world requires new approaches to drive customer engagement, which in turn is changing the face of online and multi-channel commerce.
Jeffrey is a strategy consultant, corporate director, accomplished author, innovator, professor, and investor. He is currently a columnist for Business Week Online, and has also written for publications such as CIO Magazine, Financial Times, Fast Company, Forbes.com, Fortune, Harvard Business Review and HBR.org, MarketWatch.com, McKinsey Quarterly, MIT Technology Review, and Strategy & Business.
Jeffrey was previously a faculty member at Harvard Business School, where he developed and taught the first e-commerce course in the United States. One of his student’s class projects resulted in the original business plan for Yahoo! He has authored more than 100 case studies on digital media, e-commerce, and a variety of related topics. He is also the only faculty member in HBS history to be voted Outstanding Professor three years in a row.
